Around 20 officers of Central Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-Department and local citizens began to clean the building debris left by fire that burned 284 houses on Jalan Jatibunder 7, Kebon Melati Urban Village, Tanah Abang. The debris will then be disposed to the Karet Bivak's Waste Disposal Site (TPS) through 6 dump trucks that take one week.

The cleaning has been ongoing since since this morning

"The cleaning has been ongoing since since this morning. Yet, its process will take a week due to most materials dominated by wood," said Mado (54), one of locals, Jalan Jatibunder 7, Saturday (3/7).

After it is done, according to Mado, the locals are going to re-build their house at the same site. Hence, he hopes there is material donation from benefactors or Central Jakarta Administration.
